Responsible Gambling Policy
This Responsible Gambling Policy applies to all guests and patrons of Quietcadarcreative, operated by Quietcadarcreative Inc., located at 238 Bernard Avenue, Kelowna, BC V1Y 6N4, Canada. We are deeply committed to ensuring that gambling remains a safe, enjoyable, and responsible form of entertainment for everyone who visits us.
Our Commitment
At Quietcadarcreative, we believe that gambling should always be a positive and entertaining experience. We take our responsibility to our guests seriously, and we are dedicated to providing a safe environment where gambling is kept in its proper perspective — as a leisure activity, not a means of financial gain or a way to cope with personal difficulties.
We are committed to the following principles:
- Providing clear, honest, and transparent information about gambling odds and risks.
- Training our staff to identify signs of problem gambling and to respond with care and compassion.
- Offering practical tools and resources to help guests maintain control over their gambling activity.
- Actively promoting responsible gambling practices throughout all areas of our casino.
- Cooperating fully with regulatory bodies, counselling organizations, and support services to uphold the highest standards of player protection.
- Never targeting vulnerable individuals or those who have self-excluded in our marketing or promotional communications.
We understand that behind every guest is a person with unique circumstances. We approach every interaction with empathy, dignity, and respect.
19+ Age Policy
Gambling at Quietcadarcreative is strictly permitted for individuals who are 19 years of age or older. We enforce this policy without exception, in full compliance with the laws of British Columbia and Canada.
Our age verification procedures include:
- Requesting valid government-issued photo identification from any individual who appears to be under the age of 25.
- Accepted forms of ID include a Canadian passport, driver's licence, provincial ID card, or other government-issued identification bearing a photograph and date of birth.
- Refusing entry or access to gambling facilities to any person who cannot provide acceptable proof of age.
- Regular staff training on age verification best practices and legal obligations.
If you are aware of any underage individual attempting to access our gambling facilities, we encourage you to notify a member of our staff immediately. Protecting young people from the harms of underage gambling is a responsibility we all share.
Recognizing the Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or financial situation. It often develops gradually and can be difficult to recognize in oneself or in others. We encourage all our guests to be aware of the warning signs.
You or someone you care about may be experiencing problem gambling if you notice any of the following:
- Spending more money or time gambling than originally intended.
- Feeling the need to gamble with increasing amounts of money to experience the same level of excitement.
- Becoming restless, irritable, or anxious when attempting to reduce or stop gambling.
- Using gambling as a way to escape from stress, anxiety, depression, or other personal problems.
- Chasing losses — returning to gamble in an attempt to win back money that has been lost.
- Lying to family members, friends, or colleagues about the extent of gambling activity.
- Borrowing money, selling possessions, or engaging in dishonest behaviour to fund gambling.
- Neglecting work, school, family, or other important responsibilities due to gambling.
- Repeatedly trying to cut back on gambling without success.
- Feeling guilt, shame, or remorse after gambling.
If any of these signs are familiar to you, please know that you are not alone. Help is available, and reaching out is a brave and important step. Our staff are here to listen and to connect you with the support you need, without judgement.
Self-Exclusion and Responsible Gambling Tools
We offer a range of tools to help our guests maintain control over their gambling habits and to take a break when needed. These tools are available to all patrons and are treated with complete confidentiality and respect.
Self-Exclusion Programme
Our self-exclusion programme allows you to voluntarily restrict your access to Quietcadarcreative's gambling facilities for a defined period of time. If you feel that you need a break from gambling, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of this option.
- Self-exclusion requests can be made in person by speaking with a member of our management team or guest services staff.
- Exclusion periods can be set for a minimum period and may be extended or made permanent upon request.
- During the exclusion period, your details will be flagged in our system and you will not be permitted entry to the casino floor.
- We will remove you from all marketing and promotional mailing lists for the duration of your exclusion.
- Reinstatement after a self-exclusion period requires a formal request and a waiting period to ensure that the decision is considered and deliberate.
British Columbia Problem Gambling Help Line and GPEB
British Columbia provides the Game Break voluntary self-exclusion programme for provincially regulated gambling facilities. Guests may ask a member of our team for private assistance accessing official enrolment information and available GameSense support.
Official information is available through Gambling Support BC and GameSense. On-site staff can explain the immediate steps for taking a break, but they do not provide clinical or legal advice.
Additional Responsible Gambling Tools
- Deposit and Spending Limits: Speak with our staff about setting personal spending limits to help you stay within a comfortable budget during your visit.
- Reality Checks: Ask our team about reminders or check-ins that help you keep track of the time and money you are spending.
- Take a Break: At any time, you may request a short-term voluntary break from our gaming floor without enrolling in the full self-exclusion programme.
- Access to Information: Printed and digital resources on responsible gambling are available throughout our premises. Please ask any member of staff if you would like access to these materials.

Access Control, Marketing and Staff Intervention
Casino access is restricted to persons aged 19 or older. Valid government-issued photo identification may be required at entry and at any time on the gaming floor. Individuals who are self-excluded, unable to establish age, disruptive, or showing signs that continued play may create an immediate safety concern may be denied gaming access in accordance with law and property procedures.
Responsible-gambling marketing controls include suppressing promotional communications to self-excluded guests, avoiding claims that gambling is a source of income, and presenting material conditions for offers clearly. Staff may pause service, provide information, contact a GameSense Advisor where available, or involve security and emergency services when safety requires it.
Privacy and Records
Information collected for age verification, incident management, responsible-gambling interactions, or self-exclusion is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable British Columbia privacy requirements. Access is limited to personnel and authorized organizations that require the information for lawful operational, regulatory, safety, or programme-administration purposes.
